Dexter's Blessing Day

Dex was blessed on July 6, 2014.

Instead of blessing him in our ward in Phoenix, we decided to bless him while we were visiting in Utah at my parents house so that both our families could be there for the special day.

Dexter's Grandma and Grandpa Mickelsen who are serving a mission in Germany got to see and hear the blessing via face time. My Aunt and Uncle were also able to be there as well as Dex's Great Grandma and Grandpa Richeson. (Dexter is actually my Grandpa's middle name.)

Conrad gave a beautiful blessing.

Dex looked adorable in his blessing outfit not to mention he was the best baby the entire day. He mostly slept through it all. It was pretty much the perfect day all around.

We love you Dexter Stuart and we are so happy you joined our family.

Dex- 3 Months

Dex turned 3 Months on August 11
Just before he turned 3 months he weighed 10 lbs 12 oz and he was 24 inches long- long and slender just like his dad.
Dex has been cooing and smiling so much more now and I love it!
My favorite thing is how he kicks and smiles when he sees me walk in the room after his nap.
He has found his hands and stares at them all day.
He also loves to chew on his hands. Anything that comes near his mouth, he is very eager to chew on.
He absolutely loves his baths. I cant get enough of him in his bath towel. If I could carry him around wrapped up in his bath towel all day, I would.
He is looking more and more like his dad everyday.

Dex- 2 Months

Dex turned 2 months on July 11.
Just before he turned 2 months he smiled for the first time.
it was just the cutest thing ever.

Dex is 1 Month

Dex turned one month on June 11.
He is no longer wearing preemies and has been wearing newborn sizes for the past couple of weeks.
He weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces at his one month check up.
He has the cutest little chin quiver when he cries.
He is opening is eyes and tracking faces and objects a lot more.
My baby boy is growing too fast :-)
