The Joys of Being a Dog Lady

Has a dog ever pooped on your head? For me, the answer was no... up until today that is.

Yep Chloe decided my head would be a great spot to pop a squat and take a dump.

How in the world did she poop on my head you may ask?

Well, I was laying on my stomach, on the couch and Chloe  hopped up to lay on my back...or so I thought. I didnt think anything of it, especially since she IS potty trained. She rings a little bell by the door to let us know she has to go outside.

Anyway... I realize Chloe had been standing on my upper back for awhile and I could feel her shaking, so I lifted up to look back at her and a little poop turd rolled off my back and down my arm! It was all in my hair and smeared down my back! It wasn't solid poop either it was slimey!

Of course, I began dry heaving. In between my dry heaves, I ran around like a crazy person, stripping off my clothes as fast as I could and yelling at Chloe all at the same time. It was GROSS! Lets just say she is in the dog house with me tonight.

I could shift the blame onto Conrad, who fed her pepperoni the night before. This may have made her stomach upset, and caused her to have a sudden poop attack on my head. That's the only reason I can think of as to why she would poop on ME! Anyway, Conrad is not the one who pooped on me, so I still blame the hound.

Let the Good Times Roll

The month of May has been pretty dang good to us. We've had lots of fun with friends and family.

In a nutshell-

Conrad graduated from Law School!

We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant with our good friends twice within one week. We might be a little obsessed. -If you are ever in Mesa Arizona you have to try Tia Rosa mmm mm.

Our friends opened our eyes to a great sno ball place and now we crave it all the time.

Girls night at The Great Gatsby.

Conrad's parents came for graduation and they spoiled us with dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House - they pretty much spoiled us every night with dinner and they took us to the Grand Canyon so thank you Hal and Patty we had lots of fun!

Did you notice that most of my highlights had something to do with the food places we are in love with? We're just two little pigglets stuffing our faces all the time.

And now Ill just let the pictures speak for themselves in no particular order.

Our second time at Tia Rosa's celebrating our friend, Sierra's birthday.

Me and squints at the Watch Tower.

I've been trying to get as much pool time in as I can before it gets blistering hot.

The first time our friends took us to New Orleans Sno Ball. I dont care much for snow cones and I really liked this place so its kind of a big deal... okay not really.

Proud Dad

High rolling at Ruth's Chris Steak House. That's one happy graduate right there.

I seriously love the girls in my ward I always come home with sore cheeks and a sore stomach from laughing so hard after girls nights.

Of course we had to take Conrads parents to New Orleans Sno ball.

Proud Mom.

I had fun with my primary kiddos making cards on Mothers Day. Now they ask to paint every week ;-/

Weekend Fun

My family came to visit... my whole family- mom, dad ,sisters AND my grandparents.
We all stayed in Chandler at my Aunt and Uncles house.
I love when they come, I wish they could come more often.

Lucky for me they came on my birthday weekend.

We shopped, ate at our favorite Diners, Dives and Drive in's places, drove around in a Maserati, visited two temples and watched general conference.

I loved having my birthday on general conference Sunday it made it even that much better.

Unfortunately it wasnt all great.
My grandma fell and broke her hip on friday night.

It was scary.
I was sick to my stomach worried about her.

A priesthood blessing was given to her and my fear and worry went away.
She went in for surgery on Saturday.
Sure enough, everything went great.
We had a little party in her hospital room when she woke up.

Sadly my mom, dad and sisters had to leave early Sunday morning.
That was a bit of a downer BUT my sweet friends Brittney and Sierra surprised me with cake and ice cream later Sunday night. I feel so blessed to have such great friends here.

All in all it was one of the best weekends. (Beside my grandma getting hurt of course.)
We love having visitors so anyone that wants to come... please do!

Grammin

Right now our future is so completely up in the air right now.
Conrad graduates next month and he takes the bar exam in July.
After that, I have no idea where we will be or what we are doing and that freaks me out a little...maybe a lot.

I just have to remember Gordon B. Hinckley's words and know that, "Everything will work out."
I might need to plaster that quote all over my apartment as a constant reminder.

Lately, I have had no motivation to blog.  Its no longer new and exciting for me.
Instagram has become the new and exciting thing.
I'm pretty new to it.
I have to refrain myself from posting every picture I take with my phone... Especially since most of them are of my dog.

Since when did I become the crazy overly obsessed dog lady?
The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem right?

Life has been pretty darn good and Instagram has been a great way to compile and share our fun moments...
until the next new and exciting thing comes along of course :)

Catch up Time

I'd like to say that a lot has happened since I last posted in October...besides Thanksgiving and Christmas not a lot has really happened. Hence the lack of blog posts.

Highlights from November:

Thanksgiving- unfortunately no pictures but we had fun. Our friends, the Valenzuela's were kind enough to invite us to their families dinner. It was delicious.

Conrad turned 30! Whaaaa? Yep I'm married to a 30 year old. He doesn't really like to celebrate birthdays but I can't not do something...so we got together with our good friends and played board games. I made him a pie.

Highlights of December:

Ward Christmas Party- My good friend Brittney volunteers every year to be in charge of the Christmas party   so of course that makes me an automatic helper. It took a lot of planning and setting up but I think it turned out pretty good.

Christmas Vacation in Utah! We had so much fun spending time in Utah with our families. Lots of shopping, parties and food, food, food.

Hitting a wolf, (or so we thought it was a wolf) with our car on our drive up to Utah. There's a kinda funny but not so funny story about that.... The very next morning after hitting the "wolf" dog my friend in Phoenix  saw a Facebook status from her friend who lives in Panguitch just off the highway (where we hit the "wolf" dog). This facebook status said, and I quote, "Has anyone seen my dog? He is a big black bushy dog and we haven't seen him since last night. We don't keep him on a leash but he usually comes back by now. I'm wondering if someone hit him but didn't say anything :("    Ummmmmm coincidence? Sadly, I don't think so. I think we are the jerks who hit her dog and didn't say anything. Woops... but who doesn't keep there dog on a leash when they live so close to the highway? In our defense it was dark and we were out in the middle of no where going 80 miles an hour. I am so sorry lady in Panguitch.

Now for the picture overload in completely random order...

Happy Birthday Conrad!

We had a white Christmas!

Apparently Jalapenos are dangerous to cut.

I got to see some of my good friends from high school.

Chloe was lovin her Christmas present.

Christmas Hound.

Part of my Dad's very large train/christmas town.

Matchy Matchy- Not on purpose of course... I promise

AWWWW

Conrad's Dad is a Branch President for one of the branches in the MTC so we got to go to church with them there and eat in the cafeteria with the missionaries. I ran into my sisters friend while we were there. Free lunch and 1 hour of sacrament. MTC church is the way to do it.

This was the night before the ward Christmas party setting up for it. We raided the Bishop's stash of candy and took this picture to send to him. If you knew our Bishop, it's not weird at all that we sent it to him. It was very late and we were a little slap happy.

The result of hitting that poor "wolf" dog. To that girl in Panguitch I am SO sorry.

Thirty and Thriving!

He forgot how to dress for cold weather...

The grand kids acting out Jesus's birth.

Sisters

Happy New Year!

Result of our long hours setting up the night before for the party.

Gigi was in no mood to celebrate the New Year. What a cutie.
