This Little Hound

This little hound got spayed yesterday. They put a cone around her head so she wouldn't lick the stitches. They had to give her a big one because her nose is so long. I just had to take pictures of how funny she looked, she couldn't even walk forward in it. I could not stop laughing.

This is my favorite one, she was so groggy from the medication.

Looking Good

Last week Conrad had his first interview for an internship.  We just found out he got the job! He will be working at a law firm that represents a collection agency. He starts the 28th and it sounds like they will be working him pretty hard. Good job Conrad! I am proud of you!

Of course I had to take a picture of him before he left for the interview.

A Walk in the Park

Conrad and I both have Fridays off and we like to take advantage of our day off together and do something fun. Lately, we have been going to the dog park with Chloe so we can enjoy the weather before it gets too hot to enjoy being outside. It has already hit the triple digits here so our perfect weather days are numbered. It is going to be a long HOT summer. That is one thing I don't like about living in Phoenix, I dread the summers, and I don't like dreading summer because I love summer. Although the other 8 months of perfect weather kind of make up for it.

A little update on us:
Conrad's last day of class was today, he just has to get through his finals and he is done with his second year! Wahoo! We are beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. He has a few interviews for an internship this summer, we are crossing our fingers that he will get something! Work is going well for me. I'm slowly getting more clients on my caseload and I finally feel like I have learned the ropes. It was a little rough for me the first couple of months trying to figure everything out, although, I'm kind of a drama queen and stress out easily, so I don't think it was as bad as I was making it to be.

That's our life right now not a whole lot going on, but we are enjoying it. Here are some pictures of the park.

We brought bread to feed the cute little ducks.

Chloe likes sticking her head out the window although it scares her too haha.

We Love Visitors

Last week my parents and sister came and stayed with us for a week. My grandparents also flew down from Washington and stayed with my Aunt and Uncle who live near by. We met up with them and ate at delicious places, shopped, went to a ghost town and just hung out. It was so fun to get to spend time with them, it went by way too fast. I just love my family!

We went to Matt's Big Breakfast, another restaurant featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives.

I have to say it was the BEST breakfast I have ever had. It was SO GOOD! Seriously, we were all savoring every bite. It's in a very small building, as you can see in the picture. We had to wait an hour to be seated but it was well worth the wait.

MMMMM.....

Then we had to take advantage of the perfect weather here and lay out at our pool.

We are so white!

Ha ha this picture cracks me up. My dad looks dead and Conrad.... well I don't know whats going on with him. ha ha

Of course we had to eat at our favorite Mexican place, Tia Rosa
Waiting to be seated.

My cute grandparents, I just love them!

The whole gang.

We went and raced go carts with my parents. It was the first time for me riding a go cart. They were fast! They went up to 45 miles per hour.

I was dead last the whole time until the very end when I pulled up ahead of Sydney, yes! I came in second to last.
Getting ready to race!

On the last night, we went to a Ghost Town.

My Uncle paid to have the worker at the jail house arrest my grandpa. My grandpa was so confused, it was pretty funny.
He was arrested for "excessive gas" and he had to sing "I'm a Little Tea Pot" to get out.

My dad was electrocuted.

And that was our fun week!

I Had a Birthday

This year my birthday was on a Saturday Wahoo! It was great birthday.

This is how I spent the better half of my day.

Conrad had a group project to finish up so I laid out by our pool and read a book. It was wonderful. When Conrad got home we went to one of my favorite pizza places for dinner and then we went and got cup cakes for me since I have been craving them for awhile now. After the delicious cupcakes we cuddled up on the couch and watched one our favorite shows, Breaking Bad, the perfect ending to a great birthday.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! It was a great day. Here is to 23!

New York City Part 3

On our last day in New York we went to the Ripley's Believe it or Not exhibit. There was a guy in the front pounding a nail up his nose, it was pretty grose.

I had a video of him yanking it out, but it wouldn't upload, I'll have to try again later.

After Ripley's we went to Chocolate World, mmmm love me some chocolate!

While walking around we happened to come upon the Manhattan Temple, it just kind of appeared out of nowhere just right smack dab in the middle of all the buildings.

A couple of people recommended that we try Carnegie s Deli so we went there for lunch. The waiter recommended their famous sandwich which we ordered. We decided to share it because we weren't super hungry and they charged us 3 bucks for sharing! I swear they nickle and dime you everywhere in New York. Anyway, out comes the BIGGEST sandwich I have ever seen. There was so much MEAT. I couldn't even eat half of my half of the sandwich I was so sick and for a minute there I was considering becoming vegetarian, just the thought of meat made me sick.

Just looking at this picture makes me sick. Conrad was not smiling like this after he ate the monster sandwich haha. It's not that it tasted gross, it was just way way too much.

After Carnegie's we walked around for what felt like forever, and decided to see a movie just so we could rest our legs. The movie theater had like 6 + floors, we went up like 5 different escalators to get to our movie.

We walked around some more after the movie and decided we were hungry for dessert so we walked another 8 blocks or so to Serendipity 3 for some frozen hot chocolate.

Conrad ordered a frozen hot chocolate AND a cheese cake. He made himself sick again ha ha.

Later that night we went and saw Jersey Boy's it was my favorite Broadway show we saw.

Waiting for the show to start.

We flew out of New York on St. Patrick's Day so we didn't have time to go to the Parade but we did have time to go to a local Irish pub and have some lunch and watch the parade on T.V. The food was really good.

Conrad wore his I clover NY sweatshirt to celebrate.

And that was our trip!

New York City Part Two

On our second day in NYC we went sight seeing. We saw Wall Street, the Empire State Building, Ground Zero and of course the Statue of Liberty. It was so fun to see every thing, I was in awe of all the HUGE buildings EVERYWHERE.

Our first stop was the Empire State Building.
View from the bottom and top of the Empire State Building.

It was so cool looking down at the city, it looked like it went on forever.

Such an awesome view.

After the Empire State Building we went to Ground Zero.

This is the new World Trade Center they are building, The Freedom Tower or One World Trade Center. It is going to be 1,776 feet tall, the same as the year of the nations declaration of independence.

After Ground Zero, we took a boat over to the Statue of Liberty.

In the bottom left corner is the Liberty Motorcycle made out of copper. Pretty cool.

We were FREEZING on the tour bus it was supposedly 61 degrees that day but it felt more like 40 degrees. There was a stand right next to our bus stop that was selling I Heart NY sweatshirts so Conrad hopped off the bus and bought us some because we couldn't take being cold any longer.

This is our we are freezing! faces.

They were conveniently selling sweatshirts right behind us.

Conrad doing what he does best, getting people to lower their prices.

Green was the only color they had in his size. This is his I am still cold and I hate green face. He is all ready for St. Patties Day!

We drove past this church on our tour. It was in the movie "National Treasure."

While we were going through China Town, our tour guide pointed out Katz's Deli. He said it was the oldest Deli in New York and that it was really good. He also told us there was a scene that was shot at Katz's in the movie "When Harry met Sally." I've never seen that movie but we decided to try it out.

It was the most expensive sandwich we have ever eaten but it was also the BEST sandwich we have ever had. It was really good!
MMMM... Delicious!

And still more pictures to come.
