Fun times in Utah

I've pretty much been husbandless these past few months with Conrad studying his life away for the bar exam and all.

Soooo...back in June, I decided to make a trip to Utah to visit Family, while Conrad studied. It was such a fun trip. I always love spending time with family.

While in Utah, I got to spend some time with the Johnson cousins. I was able to attend one of my cousin's wedding at the Timpanogos Temple. The very next day I was able to witness my new little adopted cousin's sealing to my Aunt and Uncle.

I had never attended a family sealing before and I feel so blessed that I was able to see that precious little baby sealed to his parents for time and eternity. It was such a sweet and special moment to witness.

I was able to make a trip to Logan for a day with my parents and sister. I hadn't been back to Logan since Conrad and I moved from there to Phoenix 3 years ago. While in Logan, I did sealings with my mom and dad  at the Logan Temple. After, we had to stop and get Aggie Ice Cream of course- Aggie Blue Mint all the way. We walked around Utah State campus which made me very nostalgic for my college days. I absolutely love Logan, it is such a pretty place and it was so great to be able to go back and enjoy a day with my family there.

I just realized its been 3 years since I graduated from Utah State... that makes me feel old for some reason.

I visited the Mickelsen family and went to my nieces 12th birthday party. They ended up surprising me with a birthday cake and gifts which was so very nice of them. I always love Mickelsen family parties.

I was lucky enough to be in town during fathers day for the first time in 3 years...annnnnd I was also lucky to be in town for the beginning of Strawberry Days. We went to the Strawberry Days rodeo my last night in Utah. I got my fix of strawberries and cream, bull riding and fireworks. Its just not summer to me without a rodeo.

And of course my mom and I shopped till we dropped.
I feel like I have written too much so ill just let the pictures do the talking.

Let the Good Times Roll

The month of May has been pretty dang good to us. We've had lots of fun with friends and family.

In a nutshell-

Conrad graduated from Law School!

We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant with our good friends twice within one week. We might be a little obsessed. -If you are ever in Mesa Arizona you have to try Tia Rosa mmm mm.

Our friends opened our eyes to a great sno ball place and now we crave it all the time.

Girls night at The Great Gatsby.

Conrad's parents came for graduation and they spoiled us with dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House - they pretty much spoiled us every night with dinner and they took us to the Grand Canyon so thank you Hal and Patty we had lots of fun!

Did you notice that most of my highlights had something to do with the food places we are in love with? We're just two little pigglets stuffing our faces all the time.

And now Ill just let the pictures speak for themselves in no particular order.

Our second time at Tia Rosa's celebrating our friend, Sierra's birthday.

Me and squints at the Watch Tower.

I've been trying to get as much pool time in as I can before it gets blistering hot.

The first time our friends took us to New Orleans Sno Ball. I dont care much for snow cones and I really liked this place so its kind of a big deal... okay not really.

Proud Dad

High rolling at Ruth's Chris Steak House. That's one happy graduate right there.

I seriously love the girls in my ward I always come home with sore cheeks and a sore stomach from laughing so hard after girls nights.

Of course we had to take Conrads parents to New Orleans Sno ball.

Proud Mom.

I had fun with my primary kiddos making cards on Mothers Day. Now they ask to paint every week ;-/

Weekend Fun

My family came to visit... my whole family- mom, dad ,sisters AND my grandparents.
We all stayed in Chandler at my Aunt and Uncles house.
I love when they come, I wish they could come more often.

Lucky for me they came on my birthday weekend.

We shopped, ate at our favorite Diners, Dives and Drive in's places, drove around in a Maserati, visited two temples and watched general conference.

I loved having my birthday on general conference Sunday it made it even that much better.

Unfortunately it wasnt all great.
My grandma fell and broke her hip on friday night.

It was scary.
I was sick to my stomach worried about her.

A priesthood blessing was given to her and my fear and worry went away.
She went in for surgery on Saturday.
Sure enough, everything went great.
We had a little party in her hospital room when she woke up.

Sadly my mom, dad and sisters had to leave early Sunday morning.
That was a bit of a downer BUT my sweet friends Brittney and Sierra surprised me with cake and ice cream later Sunday night. I feel so blessed to have such great friends here.

All in all it was one of the best weekends. (Beside my grandma getting hurt of course.)
We love having visitors so anyone that wants to come... please do!

Grammin

Right now our future is so completely up in the air right now.
Conrad graduates next month and he takes the bar exam in July.
After that, I have no idea where we will be or what we are doing and that freaks me out a little...maybe a lot.

I just have to remember Gordon B. Hinckley's words and know that, "Everything will work out."
I might need to plaster that quote all over my apartment as a constant reminder.

Lately, I have had no motivation to blog.  Its no longer new and exciting for me.
Instagram has become the new and exciting thing.
I'm pretty new to it.
I have to refrain myself from posting every picture I take with my phone... Especially since most of them are of my dog.

Since when did I become the crazy overly obsessed dog lady?
The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem right?

Life has been pretty darn good and Instagram has been a great way to compile and share our fun moments...
until the next new and exciting thing comes along of course :)
