So I am here in Utah on Christmas Vacation and I am having so much fun! I love being with family and I love being in Utah. I didn't realize how much I love the mountains here until I moved away, they are SO pretty! We have been going going going since we got here with shopping, eating out, helping Conrad's parents move into to their new home and playing games. I actually have some down time so I thought I would blog!
Today my family and I went to Herriman, Utah where the exact replica of the house in UP is. Some contractor just randomly decided he wanted to build the house. It was sweet! A family from California bought the house for 400,000 dollars! Crazy! They bought all the appliances and furniture in it as well. Lucky family, if I was rich and had money to throw around I would totally buy it. They are letting anyone come and walk through it until December 31st. After that the ownership goes to the family who bought it and its no longer open to the public, so if you are in Utah and wanna see it you can until the 31st.
Just a warning I got a little picture happy, I couldn't stop taking pictures of this adorable house.
Please let me in...

It's Official!
It is FINALLY official I am a certified speech therapist/SLPA wahooo! it took longer than I thought it was going to take but that is okay. My certificate came im the mail a couple of days ago and I was so excited! It took a whole month and half for the thing to process. I am going in tomorrow to talk with the owner of a speech clinic about starting the job! I feel like all the hard work is FINALLY paying off :)
Yeah I already have it framed he he but it actually says on the very bottom of the document "To be framed and displayed in a conspicuous place" So hey, I gotta do it right? :)

One Year Older
Conrad turned the big 29 yesterday and to celebrate, he took his first final of the semester! After his final he studied for his next final. Fun birthday right? I tried to make it a little better for him.
I made him his favorite breakfast meal, biscuits and gravy. This picture makes me laugh he looks so thrilled huh?
And I surprised him with.... Martin Sexton concert tickets! There we go he looks a little happier.
Conrad is so difficult to get gifts for. I never know what to get him and every time I ask him what he wants he just shrugs his shoulders and says he doesn't want anything... yeah right. Conrad loves Martin Sexton, he always talks about how great he is and listens to is Cd's all the time. When I saw that he was coming to Phoenix I was so excited. He doesn't come until February, so the tickets were going to be a Christmas gift but I just could not keep my mouth shut for that long, so they became his birthday present. Anyway we are going to celebrate his birthday more on the weekend when he doesn't have finals.
Happy Birthday Conrad, I love you!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Last Thanksgiving it was just Conrad and I and while it was nice with just the two of us, it was kinda lonely. This year was a lot better. We had our friends, the Barkers over. We are so glad they spent Thanksgiving with us. We had a lot of fun with them.
Conrad took on the big job of cooking the turkey again this year. He really does a great job.
I am really glad Conrad enjoys making the turkey, I don't know if I could stick my hand in there like that, yuck
All the delicious flavoring inside the turkey
Tada!the final product. Well done Conrad well done :)
Conrad also made the delicous drink.
Oh yeah, by the way we decided to convert to Catholicism, and to honor our conversion we got a Catholic Mary table cloth.
Ok not really... Conrad and I went to Wal Mart the night before Thanksgiving for last minute stuff. It was like 1:30 in the morning and I was TIRED and pretty much out of it. We decided we needed a table cloth and I just grabbed the first decent lacey table cloth I saw. I didn't care to look, I just wanted to get home. An hour before our friends came over we put the table cloth on and both our jaws dropped when we saw the St.Mary in the center. Conrad was laughing and thought it was so funny. He wanted to keep it on for dinner as a joke. I wanted it returned and so we returned it and got another one. It was pretty funny though.
Our tiny table, it looks a little nicer than the previous year ha.
We are ready to eat!
Daniel, Charbel and I, stuffing our faces :)
Chloe made a new friend, Benji, he is adorable. He liked feeding Chloe treats.
Charbel got this picture and I think it is so cute!
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks Daniel, Charbel and Benji for spending it with us!

Breaking Dawn Movie Premiere
I am still recovering from girls late night out last night. It was so much fun. A big group of us girls from the ward met up at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. After dinner it was off to the movie! I was so excited I could hardly wait....
However, I am sad to say I was a little disappointed with the movie! I think I am the only one that didn't love it. There were some really cheesey parts. I was laughing at parts that were supposed to be serious. My friend next to me was laughing too so it got me going even more ha ha. I feel really bad now because I think I might have ruined it for some of the other girls who were into it ... woops. There were definitely parts that I liked though, I really liked how it ended. It gave me some hope that part 2 might be better and I am still excited for it. Eclipse in my opinion is the best one so far. Oh well! I still had a blast and I am so glad I went.
Here is our group at the Cheesecake Factory. Once again I got these from my friend Charbel :) Here is a picture from one end of the table...
And a picture from the other end of the table.
I am so glad I was able to get to know some of these girls better. Can't wait for the next girls night out.

A Fun Week
So far it has been quite a fun week for me...
On Monday, Conrad and I decided to decorate our apartment for Christmas. I know there is Thanksgiving to celebrate first so we didn't do much. We will be in Utah for most of December but we still wanted a little bit of Christmas in our apartment. After we were done putting up our tiny tree and lights, I made some hot chocolate, cuddled up on the couch with a blanket, put on Christmas music and pretented it was snowing outside even though it was 75 degrees and not snowing. I don't really like snow, but I do miss the snow around this time of year.
Here is our tiny little Christmas tree...
And the lights we put up around the apartment... It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas:)
On Tuesday, I went to my wards Relief Society Enrichment night. It was so fun. They served us breakfast for dinner. They had baked french toast, omlets, pumkin waffles and lots more. It was delicious. We ate outside at a members home who had a very beautifully decorated backyard. Only in a place like Phoenix can you eat outside at night in the middle of November and not freeze.
I stole this picture from my friend Charbels blog, she is really good at remembering to take pics, hopefully she doesn't mind I stole it ;) Thanks Charbel!
Tonight, we had Young Women and Excellence. It was a good night, we spotlighted all the YW and got a little emotional talking about them. I love working with them and the other leaders it has been a lot of fun for me.
Tomorrow.... my week is going to get even better because I am going to the Twilight midnight movie premiere woot woot! It is the perfect event for a girls night out.
The last Twilight movie premiere, I went with these crazy girls who I miss so much! They were in the same major with me. They got me through my junior year of college, which was the hardest year for me due to the heavy load of school work. One of them said we had too much fun for being in school and it is so true. Fun times.
This year, I'm going with 18 other girls who are in my ward. I am so excited! We are going to eat at the Cheesecake Factory and then wait in line for the movie. The best part is we aren't in Utah, so we don't have to go at 4 in the afternoon to get a good seat, that will be nice.
Even though I am excited for Breaking Dawn, I am even more excited for this movie in March! I hope March comes quick because I cannot wait :). You better believe I will be there at the midnight premiere of it.
Sad to say I don't think Conrads week has been as fun as mine has been. He's been working hard on various projects that are due for school. The good thing though is after his finals in December, he will have reached his halfway mark! Yay! there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I Have Been Replaced
I've been replaced by a little puppy named Chloe. Conrad is in love with this puppy. The first thing he says when he walks in the door from school is, "Hey little puppy!" He will run over, grab her and kiss her to death. He doesn't acknowldege me until 5 minutes after he is done mauling Chloe. He even put a picture of her as his wallpaper on his phone. He has never had a picture of me on his phone. (We are not going to talk about how I have never had a picture of him on my phone) that is beside the point ;)
The other day I walked in on this. Like I said, I have been replaced.

Conrad tells me Dachshunds have a certain smell when they sleep and he loves it. He just sticks his face in her when she is sleeping and inhales her ha ha.

I know, I sound jealous but how could I be jealous of this cute litte face!

I'm only jealous it wasn't me snuggling up with her. She is such a snuggler, I love it. Yeah, we fight over her sometimes.
